Chocolate Cake Balls

This is my first time making cake balls. I know cake pops are all the rage but I wanted to try cake balls. I had leftover cake crowns from previous cakes in my freezer. I knew I could make something with the cake scraps. I made homemade vanilla buttercream to add to the cake crowns. I used Wilton’s vanilla and cocoa candy wafers for the outside of the cake balls. Also, I tinted the vanilla chocolate with orange gel paste. I piped the decorations with the Wilton number 2 tip.

Try these…you will not be disappointed! They are so yummy and they take no time to make. You can cheat and buy a store bought cake if in a pinch. Saves time! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi, are you familiar with “Dessericious” (do a Google search for it)? These
guys feature mouth watering recipes that let you bake regret-free and even
fat torching desserts easily. This helped Debbie to shed weight while
enjoying a gluten-free, diabetic-safe variation of her favored sweets. It
    might help you out too.

Hello these look great for your first attempt. I havent yet tried to make
cake pops been looking at all the tutorials and have decided to give them a
try after seeing your first go (and with a new born). I am from the UK so
some of your groceries are different from what I can get here but with give
it a try with what I can get. We dont have Candy Melts in the UK!

  16. silverteacakes says:

Thank you! I thought they came out pretty good too!! I chuckle because I
have nine dislikes and I clearly stated this was my first attempt making
these cake balls. I guess people expect perfection on the first try! Ha!
Congratulations on your new bundle of joy!!! I hope you are getting lots of
sleep. ๐Ÿ™‚ You can use any type of chocolate in the UK for this recipe. You
can color white chocolate using gel colours for variations. Thanks for
stopping by and let me know how yours turn out.
